Should I spend my vacation at home? If so, what would I do? Eat potatoes and sign every time I look at the grey depressing landscape through the window? Day after day… Or should I waste all the money I have left on a trip? A little getaway that my soul, mind and body are desperately craving for? Although, I most likely will have to eat potatoes there as well. But it’s not a big deal. I think. In any case it’s better to eat potatoes with the ocean view than at home in front of the TV. Yes, as long as there are three holiday essentials – sun, palms and the sea – I don’t really care. I should definitely go. I must go. I need to go!

Exploring Serbian cuisine. Where to eat in Bela Crkva area
I’ve visited twenty countries or so and have tried dozens of different dishes. There were many that I liked and few that I loved… but so far only one country managed to blow me away with its cuisine. Beautiful, delicious, rich in flavors. And even a simple thought of Serbian food makes my mouth water.

What to do in Belgrade in summer
To be honest I didn’t know what to expect from Belgrade. I haven’t red much info about this city before going to Serbia because I didn’t want other people opinions to influence the first impression. Only things I knew about it:
- Belgrade is not that popular tourist destination
- It’s better to visit it in the spring and summer
- There are couple sightseeings worth visiting
Snowy Easter in Kaipola
Last days of March… and spring was nowhere to be found. Grey landscapes of Helsinki and Espoo were starting to bore and depress me. It’s like weather got stuck somewhere in the middle – between winter and spring. It was snowing almost every day, and in the evenings snow was turning into slippery mud. So, I was more than happy to leave Southern Finland and spend Easter in Kaipola, Central Finland.
Holiday in Sri Lanka. Part ten. Accommodation
I think I haven’t mentioned it before… but during our stay in Sri Lanka we managed to stay in four (!) different hotels, and one of those was paid for the entire holiday. Yes, I know, it sounds silly, weird and impractical. But as they say, wisdom comes with the experience. And next time we come to Sri Lanka, we are going to plan our vacation and accommodation differently. But for now, I can share the valuable information with you about the places we stayed in.
