Normally I would make a list of the things I want to see or go to during our travels. But as soon as I started reading endless TOP-5, -10, -20 things you must do in Budapest, I quickly came to realization that it will be impossible to check even one tenth of all the cultural and historical sights this city has to offer. And we had only five days, even less than that because of the flight schedule. “So, we’d better make the most of it”, thought I while packing my carry-on.

Holiday in Sri Lanka. Part seven. The Beauty

Next stop on our wish list was Royal Botanic Garden. It’s located in Peradeniya, which is about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy. Once again prices for tourists were the same as for locals… only multiplied by ten. But this time I can tell you without hesitation that it was worth every penny!

Porvoo is one of my favorite cities. I mean what not to like?! Lovely old wooden houses that look like a fairy tale illustration, little markets where locals are selling handcrafted goods: jewelry, clothes, accessories, candles, home décor, etc.
